Heart of Sorrow

The burdened heart,
weighed down in heaviness
from sorrows of this life,
knows not the joy of the Lord,
for it is not able to focus fully
on the one way to freedom.
Only I can mend brokeness,
for My Word renews again,
restoring all that is hurting,
with mending power -
My love infusion.

Come to Me
when burdened,
and I will bring you rest.
Let My yoke carry you
away to forgetfulness,
for you must go forward,
leaving behind what is done,
eyes toward The Light
coming from
the Holy One,
the Savior Son.
