Mini Teachings

Blame Binds Choices
Looking Back The Solution
Forgiving Self Thirsty

Blame Binds

If blaming
is our choice
for not taking
blame ourselves,
when we are at fault,
then guilt stays in heart
 as unresolved
residue.

Each time
blame is placed
upon yet another,
that residue builds
within our own
hearts.

Blame,
if not taken,
becomes shame
later on, in time,
when truth comes
out in the
open.

Blaming
is a way of
hiding, not facing,
what needs
erasing.

Erasing
comes only
through binding
the reason
for the
blaming.

CHOICES

Life
carries with it
a never-ending flow
of choices to make,
for God allows each
of His precious children
the freedom to do so -
never forcing His way,
yet ever so gently
through conscience,
directing hearts
to obey.

Sometimes
we don't listen
to His inner call,
choosing another path
led by self or world,
letting fear or anger
create some doubt,
then reason away
what was right
all along.

Life consists
of choices made
from words spoken
or deeds undertaken;
we can't be mistaken.
All we do affects others
and not just ourselves.
Taking time to think,
then trusting God first,
can prevent hell
from starting
on earth.

Looking Back

Avoid,
the deception
of bringing back
to life that which
I died to end
forever from
 your days.

Stop
resurrecting past,
re-living sins with
should-have-beens,
for perhaps each thing
had to occur to bring
you to where
you now are
in Me.

For some it takes more death
to awaken them to life.

The Solution

God is waiting
while we are running
from Him who loves
and wants our coming
to Him to be
our turning.

God is waiting
for our running,
to be to Him, not away,
where darkness lives
with hopelessness.

God is waiting
for our resting
to become a blessing,
that others may see
we ran from fear,
and will never again
let it come near.

Forgiving Self

If you are to move on
in your walk with Me,
you must forgive others,
then self, before you can see.
Forgiveness is the answer
that brings resolution.
Harboring guilt inside
clogs the heart with
confusion.

Clear those pathways
filled with strife, not peace,
then allow Me to help you
be restored way beneath.
Fear not that I’ll be there,
then come to Me when
heavy laden, and I
will bring
you rest.

Thirsty

My people thirst
in many unseen ways:
first, for righteousness,
for their spirit needs bonding
with their God and Creator
who wants no separation
between His children
and His heart.

A spiritual thirst quenching!

My people thirst
in their parched bodies,
turning to other liquids
instead of the one I provided -
the only one that truly quenches:
water - eight to ten cups
each and every day
to restore cells.

The body cries for water!

My people need care -
daily infillings of love
through My Word read,
soakings alone with Me
where I rest the soul
with eyes all on Me
and the world
pushed aside.

Soak in My river of life.

My people must pray,
not for self foremost
but for others about them
who need help from their thirst,
pouring out their overflow
as a servant to the Father
to fill others in need
of His healing love.

Thirst begins and ends in the heart.”
