Jewelbox Heart
If we picture our heart
to be like a sectioned jewelbox,
at first empty of collected treasure,
but over time, its compartments
overflow with love gifts,
precious memories,
earthly things,
tucked away,
even to hide,
eventually
comes that day
when we know there
is no need for even more jewels
of this world to purchase, save, or receive.
Even so, some still feel a void of emptiness,
for there is still one space quite empty
in the heart jewelbox of each person,
yearning for spirit infilling,
for that lonely place is
a cross shaped vessel
reserved by God
to contain
but One
essential thing,
missing and necessary
to make us one with Him -
Our "forgiveness" from Son,
the sole giver of our eternal life.
Completion of our hearts requires
acceptance of the ultimate of gifts
Jesus paid for, with His precious blood.
