Peeling Process

As we grow in the Lord,
His Holy Spirit will reveal
those buried things
we’ve tried to hide
even from self,
allowing layers
to gradually build
deep inside our heart,
rather than face them.
His purpose in our lives
is to expose past sin,
still preventing joy,
which blocks our
spiritual progress
like an invisible wall
of forever nagging guilt,
stifling full freedom in Christ.

Buried wrongs we tried to hide,
mistakes we’ve allowed to fester,
like unforgiveness, all need removal,
for if they remain unresolved
their pain can spill over
into physical ills,
or mental oppression.
God alone knows our needs
and has sure ways to restore us,
but we need to submit to His touch.
His methods of people peeling and
His means of discarding past errors,
always prepare us for His purpose,
for each of us do have God reasons
for having been born on earth.
It is the enemy of man who tries
to deceive hearts by planting
worthless thoughts in minds,
for he wants us to believe
we have no value to God.
Through Christ’s love and tender mercies,
in timing perfect, we can be healed, in Him.
