To Cleanse Me

Oh Father God ,
I come before You,
my heart ready
to be cleansed of sins,
for I am in need this day
to be rid of all I hold inside
that You did not place there.
I want You to strip my heart
of all I’ve layered therein,
allowing the enemy and
 others entrance.

For I was wrong to allow it,
and I repent of that error.
Renew me, refresh me,
purify me, wash me
with Thy blood
of forgiveness
everlasting,
my precious
Father
God,
In Jesus’
Holy name I pray.
