Rivers in the Desert

Oh you parched
and thirsty ones
who carry a desert
in your heart,
come to Me
for quenching.

Your dryness
is a sign I do not
live in you, or have
not been allowed
to flow freely
in dry places.

I am your oasis
of healing to bring
growth and peace
to your wilderness.
Let Me replenish
your roots.
Let Me clear
away brambles
from painful pasts.

Let My Word, not man,
renew your thirsty mind.
